Open e-IRG Workshop in Brussels, 13-14 October, 2010

The next e-IRG Workshop will be held at the Royal Library of Belgium in the Center of Brussels, near the famous “Grand Place” and the Sablon area , well-known for its antique shops and... chocolate stores!

How to get to the venue:


From the airport:

Nearest airport is Brussels National Airport. A train brings you from the airport to the Central Train Station (Bruxelles Central/Brussel Centraal) in about 15-20 minutes.

By train:

Nearest train station is Central Station (Bruxelles Central/Brussel Centraal). However note that High Speed Trains (TGV/Thalys/ICE) do not stop in Central Station. The nearest station for these trains is Brussels South (Bruxelles midi / Brussel Zuid). From Brussels South, you can reach the Central Station either:

  • (recommended) by train: 5 minutes, direct: Just take any train heading north (to Antwerpen, Brussels International Airport, Dendermonde, Essen (D), Eupen, Genk, Hoei, Jemelle, Landen, Leuven, Liège, Louvain-la-Neuve, Luxembourg (L), Maastricht (NL), Schaarbeek, Sint-Niklaas, Tongeren, Turnhout), get off at the first stop, Brussels Central (Bruxelles Central/Brussel Centraal).
  • by metro: lines 3 or 4, change at “De Brouckere” use then line 1 (direction Stockel/Stokkel) or line 5 (direction Herrmann Debroux), and get off at Central Station
  • by taxi (variable rates and duration, depending on the traffic…)

By metro:

Central Station also has a Metro station (lines 1 and 5)

By car:
